Adult and Community Education is supported by the NSW Department of Education and Training through grants to community colleges across NSW. The Adult and Community Education (ACE) Unit in the Department promotes community education, supports funded community colleges and provides information and advice on community education across the state.

Indigenous Public Safety Course Graduates Volunteer for State Emergency Service (SES) Aboriginal graduates of the public safety and rescue training course that was recently delivered in Nowra would now like to volunteer as SES emergency service workers.  The 8-week training project was a collaboration between the SES, Shoalhaven Community College, the local Aboriginal community and Habitat Personnel.
